Venous Doppler is an ultrasound test used to check veins for clots, poor flow, or other venous problems.
Venous Doppler is usually requested because of symptoms such as limb swelling, pain, heaviness, redness, or concern about a clot.
It helps when doctors need a quick, non-invasive way to see whether a vein is blocked or whether blood is flowing normally.
It is often ordered for swollen legs, suspected deep vein thrombosis, or unexplained pain in a limb.
Treatment depends on the result and may include blood thinners, compression, follow-up, or urgent referral in selected cases.
